Written by Tom Wallace

When Published Content is edited, it can be Published again immediately and sent to recipients or it can be Saved as a Draft so the live version stays unchanged. This allows the content creator to more easily take some time to make their changes.

How to Save a Draft on Published Content

  1. Open your published content

  2. Edit your content

  3. Click Save Draft. This creates a new unpublished draft version. The current live article remains exactly as it is, and the draft won’t be seen by recipients until you publish it.

  4. In the Content Manager, the piece of content is labelled as having a Pending Draft.

  5. When opening this content, there is a message at the top of the screen explaining that it is the Published content being displayed. The Content Creator can choose to Discard the draft or Edit Draft.

  6. Clicking Edit Draft displays the draft version of the content. The Content Creator can edit this further and Save Draft or choose to Publish.
